Dear Teachers and Group Leaders,
We are excited that you are considering bringing your students to AstroCamp. Our goal is to make your trip one that your students will remember for the rest of their lives. The website will give you a thorough overview of our programs and hopefully answer any questions you may have. If not, please feel free to contact us.
Being able to choose classes from our program that fit your school district’s current curriculum is one of our strengths. With a focus on the Physical Sciences, Astronomy, and Adventure, we strive to meet each school’s individual scholastic needs. Additionally, with the new national focus on teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in our schools, AstroCamp’s curriculum is more relevant than ever. It’s a program that we believe in, and one that has positively impacted more than 250,000 students since 1991.
Individual exploration and discovery are at the heart of AstroCamp’s educational philosophy. In addition to its academic value, another major benefit of attending AstroCamp is the Camp Experience. While camp is fun, exciting, and educational, it also teaches children practical life skills. By working in small teams to accomplish goals, they learn to get along with others in a group living situation and forge stronger friendships. The very nature of the experience encourages personal responsibility, initiative, and independence. Camp is an opportunity to develop character and teachers often laud the improvements they see in their students after camp.
We look forward to chatting with you about our unique program and hope that we get the opportunity to share our vibrant and engaging hands-on program with you and your students in the near future. We value partnering with teachers and hope to see you at AstroCamp soon!
